Haha for Hope is on a mission to empower children to overcome trauma by teaching them the transformative power of comedy. Through our unique program, we train and certify a team of counselors who work closely with small groups of children, helping them express themselves, heal, and build resilience.
By getting involved or donating, you’ll help provide these children with a powerful set of tools to face life’s toughest challenges. And our vision goes beyond healing — we aim to inspire the next generation of comedy creators, encouraging them to pursue careers in the arts. Your support can create lasting change. Together, we can bring joy, hope, and healing to children who need it most!
The inaugural event on October 16, 2019 raised thousands of dollars for Sky High for Kids that helps fund research and provide comfort to children and families impacted by pediatric cancer. Volume 2 on March 4, 2020 raised over $10,000 for The East Bali Poverty Project alongside charity partner The Hearts Co. to build an elementary school in Indonesia. In 2025 we are beginning our own programming!
We’re thrilled to kick off Haha Comedy Academy in January 2025, partnering with Xavier Academy to teach 6 talented middle schoolers the art of comedy.
Haha for Hope runs stand-up comedy productions to help us raise the money we need to support our cause -- helping the kids! It was founded in 2019 by Brian Gendron, an award winning entrepreneur, community leader, and stand-up comedian. The Haha for Hope team is based in Houston, TX.
